How to convert supplier XML into a spreadsheet
- Choose a UTF-8 XML file or try the sample. The tool lists nested paths it finds in your catalog.
- Select the path representing a product. Keep one row per product, or expand one repeated nested path such as variants/variant.
- Choose a SKU field for missing and duplicate checks. Include the fields you need and rename the output columns.
- Build the preview, review the findings and download CSV or Excel. Save the setup to reuse the mapping when the next catalog arrives.
What happens to nested variants?
With variant expansion, parent values repeat on each child row. Child fields use the variant/ prefix so their values stay distinct. A product without that variant path remains as one row and receives a finding. Other repeated values join with “ | ” and are reported for review. This avoids silently combining every nested list into a large set of unintended rows.
Does this produce a ready-to-import WooCommerce file?
It produces a flat table, not a verified store import. You still choose column names, product types, parent identifiers and required fields for your destination. Start with the WooCommerce CSV sample and test the mapping on staging. Missing values remain empty; duplicates are reported without deleting products or inventing identifiers.
Free limits and privacy
Up to 5 MB per file, 5,000 rows per input or converted table, 120 columns and 250,000 cells. A comparison can produce up to 10,000 report rows. Preview shows 50 rows; downloads contain the complete result. Processing stops after 30 seconds and can be cancelled. Expanded output text is limited to 20 MB, with at most 20,000 findings per operation. Performance depends on your device.
Files are processed in a local browser worker and are not sent to our server. Scripts are served by this website, with no remote conversion service. Saved setups stay in this browser until you delete them. Clearing the tool removes its file and result state; downloaded files remain on your device.
XML DTDs and entity declarations are rejected. Excel input supports .xlsx values, with a 20 MB expanded-workbook limit. Formulas, macros, embedded images/objects, binary workbook parts and external workbook links are unsupported; export reviewed values first. Old .xls files must be resaved as .xlsx or CSV.
